Hello all!!

I have installed VB 3.7.4.
I need the Voodoo style.But i found it only for version 3.7.3.
And i don't know if i can find the mods i need and are compatible with 3.7.4.
So,what do you think i should do?
Install version 3.7.3?Or do something else(You will suggest me what)...

What i want to do is to install voodoo theme,install the mods i want and then convert my smf forum to this vbulletin board.

What do you think?

If the skin is compatible to 3.7.3 .. it is generally compatible to 3.7.X
Meaning you can use it on 3.7.4 as well.

The hacks and mods are made for major changes .. like for example 3.6.x or 3.7.x
So any hack that is 3.7.x will work for your forum.

Guys are there any instructions on how to use Impex(the Converter of VB)?
If i try to convert my smf to VB will there be any problem with my smf forum?
I mean with IPB nothing was changed at my smf forum.
What do you say??
 
Well what exactly should i edit at the ImpExConfig.php file?
I want you to tell my what should i type at the source database.
For:
$impexconfig['source']['databasetype'] = 'mysql'; // mysql OR mssql
$impexconfig['source']['server'] = 'the ip of my server';
$impexconfig['source']['user'] = 'prefix1_username';
$impexconfig['source']['password'] = 'mypass';
$impexconfig['source']['database'] = 'prefix1_dbname';
$impexconfig['source']['tableprefix'] = 'smf_prefix1_dbname';

What am i doing wrong?
Maybe i don't have to enter the prefix??
 
Hes trying to convert his site, not start a new one,we all learn,and we all started some where,Im glad this place was here when i needed help,let him get his
 
okey then.

edit those whit your smf database details and default prefix is smf if you havent changed it.
then just edit your target board too on that config (vbulletin details) go to impex from admin panel and start converting.

Do not delete the smf site/database until you are 100% sure everything went ok.
 
Hmm..I have done this.
But i am getting this error " Connection to source server failed. Check username and password."
But the username and password are copied and pasted from my settings.php file from SMF.The only thing that worries me is the server.There i have typed the IP of the server(As the Admin of the host told me).

I cannot understand how to solve this..

well if your vbulletin forum is on same server put localhost on that not ip.

i can do this converting for you look my msn from my profile.
 
Just converted from SMF to VB.
I am getting one error.
At the Statistics area i see:
"Members: 0, Active Members: 0 Welcome to our newest member, a"
I tried recounting the users and stuff through Update Counters but nothing..
What can i do??

Ok i have found out the problem.
The members were inserted in additional/custom user groups.
How can i transfer the members of a custom user group to the original?
Not one by one!This would take a lot of time!
Is there any way just to check users and assign them all at a specific user group??
 
Admin CP -> Users -> Prune / Move Users

Enter your search criteria. The next page will allow you to move the matching users.
