need to stop people DDOS attacking FROM my RDP servers

im having a lot of trouble with people doing a DDOS attack from my OVH RDP servers
soon as they detect it OVH shuts the server down and demands a full re install
they give me no chance to figure out who is doing it or with what

dose anyone have experience blocking this ?

Some tips, they might be extreme but it's simply true:

1. Increase your price of your RDP packages.
2. Switch provider, to some more flexible one.
3. Manually review orders (Mostly from India, Pakistan, Albania, Russia, Ukraine, Afghanistan, go google their information.)
4. Use MaxMind order verification, block VPNs etc.

If you ask OVH they should enable FTP read only mode, then you can check the logs.

the RDP business is powered by demo's
without demo's there is little interest in my threads and I would get no sales

and with demo's anyone can come in run a portable program and do a DDOS attack
I need a way to block the attack itself
trying to keep the users off my servers is not practical

You can use any monitoring software and set alert when the network use reaches high value.

Hi,
You should install good Firewall + AntiVirus + AntiMalware on your server and block all ports except the required ones.

You can Monitor the Traffic on your Network Card and check if some abnormal behavior occur and trace the user through it.

id gotten into the habit of shutting of the firewall as a quick fix for other problems then forgetting to really fix them and leaving it shut off
im thinking if I just make sure to keep the firewall turn on I should be ok
