As you know VLC is a powerfull player.
I have a idea which could make our music expierience much nicer.
We could explore more music, find more artists, find more music.
My idea is this.
Share youtube via .xspf files.
A .xspf file with music can be made here: http://emff.sourceforge.net/playlistgenerator/
The important thing is to make the list nice to work with VLC player.
Location - the youtube url.
Title - artist and song title, remember that this changes when the video / music is playing to the real youtube title. So fu++ you title makers for not making it nice and correctly.
Creator - could be some other info added.
Annotations - could be the genre.
Information - url to the artist or a shop.
Its important to understand that you must right click on the vlc to open up all this menus (sorry cant show u images of what i mean)
Why is this good?
Much easier to find songs, much easier to play them, much easier to save them, much easier to explore.
Find songs?
Up in the right corner you can search by artist, title, genre (annotations). It will give you a very clear search result.
Easier to play them?
You dont need to make alot of searches and make playlist and bla bla bla its so easy with VLC. Next song starts directly.
Save to your playlist?
Select a song or songs and just drag them to ''media library'' on the left in VLC and it will be saved there. Turn off VLC and start it again go to ''media library'' and you will see taht everysong you draged there are there and you can play them directly.
Other?
You can see the video or just listen to music without have a fullscreen of it. Just click ''playlist -> view playlist''.
Well sorry for not explaining exactly but its easier if you explore it yourself.
Anyways what i would love to happen while im alive.
I would like to see a site where its easy to share your own .xspf list and it allways checks for doubles, only youtube cause ''illigal'' streaming is hard to mantain.
Everyone ads new links / songs with right info then the admins / moderator ads it to the ''main .xspf'' and updates it and makes a direct download link on some site so people can download it from the site or stream it directly with direct url to .xspf.
If you dont get me do this.
Open notepad -> paste this in it -> save as ''lol.xspf'' -> open it with VLC player. Explore...
REMBER TO CLICK PLAYLIST - VIEW PLAYLIST. TO SKIP VIEWING THE VIDEO ONLY LISTEN TO THE SOUND!
