friend of mine wants to start a streaming site
anyone know any good, reliable hosting companies that allow the hosting of copyrighted material + the streaming of the material?

As I said in the chat, no host will allow you to do that.

You can get a server from pretty much anywhere and host it. But then you will get taken down like the rest.

When you host the files yourself, you are just asking for trouble imo
 
yeah true what sandi said! you get from someone! they will sue you! you get your own server! you will be sued by everyone!

so better not get into this. :)
 
You can just get a normal server, start a small filehost, to 'host' your warez.
And you can just start a megavideo clone, to host streaming shit. That way it's legal ;)
 
@vps9Ryan, i like your comments mate. i think you are the only one here on wj that provides warez hosting space.

maybe im interested in a vps for warez later :p

you will not be able to get any server in any of the following location : Germany , Netherlands, USA, France, Luxembourg, UK. the only place where you MIGHT.. have a chance is either hong kong or china and then your going to face horrible routing / transits and packet loss which won't be any where near sufficient for streaming. you might not get banned instantly..but soon as you start to expand.. all it takes for one DMCA notice for the data center to shut you down.
so to answer your question: no you will not.

HONGKONG and CHINA Datacenters considered TO BE Safe , even they don't allow officially
Is this Site and there DATACENTER are from Alien Planet where No Laws applicable?

The datacenter i work with doesnt care about dmca.

they allow streaming sites with tos.. eg. dont just upload a movie a link to it.
use your brain, make a legit site and embed movies from it
