Need Help with the search engine listing

I have a website having about 20 backlinks and a fair alexa rank of about 750,000. I have signed up for google webmaster too and it has indexed my site webpages but still i couldn't drive any traffic to my website through search engines.
Can anyone give me some good suggestion or ways to get my website on the front pages of google and drive some traffic through these search engines ? :)
