Need help with Apache Installation and Configuration

Hello,

My server has;
8 CPU
RAM 16 GB
4x2TB HDD
1Gbps/100TB Bandwidth

I have installed Apache 2.4.29 and the server is using for file server of a filesharing website.
There are around 40 concurrent downloaders and over 1k daily pageviews.
Daily download is around 5k downloads.

I am not good at configuring Apache and the server is getting slower and slower. Sometimes it is connection lost.
After restart Apache, the server was up but it was getting slower again fter some times.
So I have to restart Apache again and again.

I tried to configure MPMs (worker and event), KeepAlive on and whatever found on internet, Google and Youtube but it did not work. The issue could not be solved.
Maybe I did mis-configure Apache.

I have a clean server now and can someone advise me how to install and configure Apache properly that not to have a problem likes above?
Can somebody advise me what values should be used for MPM and KeepAlive?

Or can somebody help me to install and perfomance tuning Apache for me?

you have to look at graph of resources usage on server while downloading passes over 1K. I depends on server load management and hard-disk performance at time of downloading.
