need help regarding data transfer limits

I want to create a music website & was looking for cheap hosts.I often come through plans indicating data transfer limits,e.g.100 or 200GB.
I can't understand what does it mean.Does it mean only 100GB of transfer can be possible,I mean that only 100GB of music can be downloaded from my site monthly.

What is your budget?

If a host gives you a plan with 100GB of bandwidth that means that all data transfer for your account is counted... HTTP, FTP, ...

I can pay $4-6 monthly.And can't pay 2-year or 1-year advance.

Some time ago they had a promo for unlimited BW, try asking the admin if he can offer you that promo again.

My site was on that shared server before and it could take 10k hits per day.
