my site shows "500 Internal Server Error"

Depends on where you are getting the errors. hq-rdps.com works fine for me.

If this is not site then is it a vps, dedi or shared?

If vps or dedi make sure the owner is not apache.

If shared try changing folder from permission 755 to 777 or the other way around to see if that helps.

They were originally 755 but somehow I found them set to 777 so I changed them back to 755 and it worked.

Yeah some sites require 755 and some require 777 . Never have been able to figure it out.
