Ok just went out and bought a new landline phone and called
Sky and they said they will upgrade my internet to 8.9Mbit
which is currently in my area :)
But i cant get the full upto 20Mbit as i am quite far from the exchange
oh well 8.9Mbit is 1112.5KB download speed :) quite happy with that,
only thing i need to wait 48 hours for the reset thingy.

I'm with Sky Broadband as well, they really do suck. This is my supposedly 20mbit connection.

Don't know why it says i'm with BT on the speedtest, I am actually with Sky :p.

If you have landline with them give them a call (free of-charge for sky phones)
08442 414141
And speak to an advisor and say that you internet speed is quite low
and you were wondering if this is because of the DLM and ask what
speed you can actually get in your area i spoke to a very helpful guy
and he helped me sort out a few things :)

heres my home connection

Now that is a speed i like how much do you pay for it?

No offence mate, but that speed is pretty poor for the UK. Also, "sky ftw"? Not at all, if you have read a recent ofcom study, the only ISP that gave out anywhere near the advertised speed was Virgin Media.

Now if you had any brains at all you would that,
Virgin media provides good speeds but throttles
after you use a few GB's so the actual speed you
get after being throttled is like 8Mbits not the
50Mbits promised.

Worst companies for downloading:
Virgin
Talk Talk

Sky & BT are the best for downloaders
as they do not throttle you no matter what
and most other companies will throttle you.
