My account Suspended due to using Too Much CPU

My website used to get around 4K unique views a day and never had any problem for 4 months. It took my host to suspend my account in 4 months. Mainly it was due to Database load in other words CPU. I suggest you use W3 Total cache because it has DB cache option and set the DB cache to a greater time. It will help you reduce DB load, also check if you have unnecessary queries like too many related posts, too many sidebar widgets and items in them, too many tags in sidebar etc. In short, reduce the number of queries. There are many plugins out there to count how many queries a page produces. I believe 50 queries of a wordpress page is a safe number. Best of luck :)
 
Neither you are using any pluggin like Auto-poster neither your traffic is high then just wondering how your WP can consume high CPU ... Re-think about any pluggin with automation feature that you have installed :D?

I DId. my site is running alright but what if my site gets suspended. :'(
 
Find a hosting provider which offer CloudLinu Technology. With it you are safe! Your account never got block due to high load. It'll show error page and you still access Cpanel as normal. :)
 
I suggest you go with a starter VPS. Any VPS would do. Based on your website traffic, I think a 256mb VPS would do fine with 10mbps unmetered. That is if you use Nginx or lighttpd for http. To make life easier, you could try Kloxo cpanel with lighttpd. It will help you manage the VPS if you are not that confident with SSH. Do this first:

# su - root
# setenforce 0

Then do:

# su - root
# yum install -y wget
# wget http://download.lxcenter.org/download/kloxo/production/kloxo-installer.sh
# sh ./kloxo-installer.sh --type=<master/slave>

In the last line, go with master, that is:
