I see some hosts offer multiple IPs for same server.

I would like to know how this IPs are actually managed ?

Is it possible to install Windows Server 2008, and make 5 user accounts, where every account would have different IP ?

Thank you :P

Just add IPs

:S

I have a problem and any help is appreciated 8-)

I have 3 IP adresses: *.*.*.4, *.*.*.5 and *.*.*.6. First I did is added them like cvrle77 told me. Then, I went to Server Manager and assigned static IP adress for the user:

then I logged of, and logged in with a new user, and new IP(*.*.*.5), but the IP is still the same :S

Are you trying to get each user a different IP or do you have each user setup as a website?

I don't use server 2008 but according to docs I have read under change management tools:
To change the IP address settings of a network adapter

Log on to the Management Server, Security Server, or Messaging Server with an account that is a member of the Domain Admins group.

Click Start, point to All Programs, click Windows Essential Business Server, click Tools, and then click Change IP Address Settings. The Change IP Address Settings Wizard appears.

On the Before you begin page, read the instructions, and then do one of the following:
If you are running the wizard on the Management Server or the Messaging Server: Click Check to verify the connections from the server to the other two servers for Windows EBS.

If you are running the wizard on the Security Server, click Next and then:

On the Choose a network adapter page, choose the internal network adapter (which connects to your LAN) or the external network adapter.

Click Check to test the connections from the server to the other two servers for Windows EBS.

On the Check connectivity page, verify the connections from the network adapter to the other servers for Windows EBS.

On the Choose IP address settings page, do one of the following:
If you are changing the IP address settings of the external adapter on the Security Server, and you want to use the DHCP Server service to configure the IP address settings automatically, click Use DHCP to automatically configure the IP address settings. Then click Change.

If you are changing the IP address settings of the external adapter on the Security Server but you want to configure the IP address settings manually, click Manually configure the IP address settings. Then type the new IPv4 settings for the network adapter and click Change.

If you are changing the IP address settings of an internal adapter on one of the servers for Windows EBS, type the new IPv4 settings for the network adapter and then click Change.

The Progress of IP address change page displays the tasks that are being performed to change the IP address settings.

On the Finish page, click Close.
Hope this helps.

I can't find this underlined option anywhere in my Start>All Programs. Also I added Administrator privilegies for my user which I want to have a diff. IP, but when I try to open Server Manager I'm getting error "only built-in administrators can access Server Manager"

Tnx for trying to help :)

edit: I don't need this server for websites, I'm trying to make 2-3 RDAs with different IPs.
