I see the come back of Kim Dotcom as quite joke.

The first domain which would be used to the launching his new site got banned and his project failed.

Now, he comes back with a domain name nobody remembers in 5 minutes. "mega.co.nz" what kind of domain name is that??

However, if Dotcom opens an affiliate program and things will go his way, I can't wait to see how that f*ckhead "Adult King" will deal with Kim Dotcom, all of his money and thereby his power. I bet he won't, like he wouldn't even touch Rapidshare.

AK didn't even touch hotfile, shame.

I don't care about the affiliate program in Mega. At first there may not be any affiliate but later it will be. We just want KIM to recover whatever he'd lost in the past. Its good thing People are supporting him by giving away free servers and that helps him make a come back. Thanks to all of you.

Mega will rise from the ashes of Megaupload. :)

Mega.co.nz

> Free site with a new system work
> Came to complete what megaupload did not complemented
> Make money for his owner
> No affiliate program
> 50 gb for free user ( to make you buy an premium account )

so is not a big deal for us , comes or not it does not matter :thumbdown:

so no money

Oh there will be plenty of money... for Kim Dotcom. :))

By the way:

Even paid plans are pretty poor. Megaupload offered unlimited space and bandwidth for free.

maybe that 50gb is some kind of safe "zone" or something...Maybe they are not interested in building a new filehost so they choose a cloudservice insteed and for a cloud service 50 gb for free is really a good deal.

Mega File Hosting - Pricing Features

Early Preview to Mega File Hosting

2yiOX.png

Although it’s launching tomorrow people with early access can now use some of the basic features. I signed up for beta access but haven’t really used it. Quite a lot is missing although in a blog post on the site they have listed what the site will contain.

Currently you’ll get Access Denied to the blog post link if you don’t have a beta account so I’ll copy and paste some of the PLANNED features as these can’t be added from the launch as they ran out of time.

It all looks ok but not a lot works at the moment. If all the proposed features are added it will be awesome but currently it’s only average. The good thing is though these features will bring in buisness users, the likes Dropbox have, and this will help Mega keep a legit face to the company even if most of it’s users are using it for illegal purposes.

Here is a list of the proposed pricing

We know already due to his tweet that free users get 50GB but here are the paid plans

Pro 1
Storage = 500GB
Bandwidth = 1TB
Price = 9.99

Pro 2
Storage = 2TB
Bandwidth = 4TB
Price = 19.99

Pro 3
Storage = 4TB
Bandwidth = 8TB
Price = 29.99

Here’s the list of planned features:
Developer documentation enhancements:

Properly reformat and comment the JavaScript reference implementation so that it becomes more readable
Add missing command-specific documentation to the API reference
File transfer queue enhancements:

Vertical resizing
Drag & Drop to modify transfer sequence
Multiselect
Clicking on a pending transfer navigates to/marks the source file or the target folder
Stop/continue buttons

File manager enhancements:

Re-implement from scratch without underlying third-party UI framework for better performance
Adaptively eliminate the leftmost file path buttons at the top to maintain visibility of the upload and search buttons (we have a hack in place for this, but it only works in Chrome)
“Properties” option in the file context menu

Collaboration feature enhancements:

MEGA user-to-user messaging with file attachments, plus external RFC 4880/OpenPGP and S/MIME gateway for secure off-site e-mail communication
MEGA user-to-user instant messaging
Exported link enhancements
Allow for the creation of folder links (with associated crypto key) which then display the folder content live
Secure unauthenticated delivery web widget
Allow unauthenticated users to securely deliver files to MEGA users’ inboxes, e.g. to submit very large files to print shops

Filesystem enhancements:

Activate storing all block MACs on the server (encrypted) after an upload to allow for integrity-checked partial reading. Right now, the file has to be downloaded fully to be checked.
Enable forking encrypted time-stamped delta file support to allow for random writing to existing files with full rollback capability

SDK enhancements

Complete the API documentation
Provide client libraries in various languages

Client applications

A Windows filesystem mount is currently in beta and will be available shortly
Linux/MacOS X filesystem mounts
Mobile access
Sync tools for all major platforms

Integrated on-site applications

Calendar
Word processing
Spreadsheet

MEGA as a local “appliance”

Load a third-party audited version of the MEGA JavaScript files from a machine that you control
Be immune against new bugs of any kind
