Foobar. I like that old style interface.

1. for music: winamp (modern skin, because in the new bento i can't remove all what i want. :S)

2. for movies/videos: kmplayer and vlc player (in my eyes/opinion 2 of the best i have ever had + all codecs are already included, all videos working :>)

Jet audio pwns them all, has a built in converter, recorder, cd ripper, radio and it plays everything.

I use Klite (aka Media Player Classic), It's tiny and plays almost all extensions.

Songbird is good to find remixes of songs! Other then that, Just no.
Foobar can get a really nice GUI if you install mods.
iTunes ftw. Though the GUI is meh and it hogs RAM like bitch.

In the very beginning, I was using MediaMonkey, then I switched to WinAMP. Then back to MediaMonkey, then back to WinAMP and with iTunes 10 (and a kickass rig) I switched to that.

Btw, I only use VLC for video playback. I'm checking out SongBird now. Seems good.
