Mass emailing on shared hosting.

I have just been told by my hosting company that i am not allowed to use the member mass e-mail on their servers. Is this normal for shared hosting?

I have about 6000 members and would like to send out monthly newsletters etc.

Any advice would be great.

Yup for a Shared Hosting it may be tough to offer mailing 6000members as it needs high server Load...So get a dedi buddy!!!

A VPS would normaly handle Mass Mailing Users.

you can send mass mail using queue system like per session 10 mail using vbulletin you can do it but other forum i have no idea

Hmm, that freelists is a pretty good solution if I look at it now.
But, take a dedi, or use such alternatives.
