As you know, this forum has quite a few scammers. So as for a suggestion. I thought I'd bring this idea up.

This idea consists of:

New User Group - 'WJ Verified MiddleMan'
Selected by Staff only, to prevent corrupt members getting a easy ticket to scam.

The idea is great in theory, but at the end of the day it just adds another point of failure. The option is always there to get staff to give things a once over if needed too.

I think this a good idea, giving members with no infractions or warnings. Especially LOYAL ones, to be picked has Middle Mens.

Who knows? They may turn into greedy scammers anytime. I think you were here when a "Trusted Webmaster" scammed a guy for a few bucks. That was a long-term drama. :facepalm:

For real? The suggestion cannot be applied (IMO).

Your all right, I guess the best practise is to have a moderator write up a 'advice on not getting scammed' guide or thread, to cover basic and advance tips, and advice on dealing safely and securely online.

Btw, first time 'E' has replied to any of my threads, I feel privileged.

Vick, the idea is good theoretically, but practically it'll fail.

Why ? Money turns even the loyal ones to bitches and on top of that, this is the internet, where I could claim I'm from Antarctica, using proxy of US and sitting in China.

The perfect example for this would need us to have a glance in the past.
Elio was a trusted member, then he was promoted to modertor and then super moderator.
Finally he scammed two members for 1000$ by sending them empty iPhone boxes which they ordered via him.
