Many or few parts?

Hi to all.

I would like to ask a question of purely academic.

If an uploader uses the PPS, it is better to divide a file into small parts or large parts?
For example: a 4 GB files, it is better to divide it into parts of 100 MB or 500 MB parts? Why?

It is a question asked just to understand the logic behind the uploader.

Wow, I didn't know the University teaches student about RAR File parts, but well since it's Academic related, I'm going to reply by saying that 1GB Parts are the best.
