My friend is planning to start a warez forum.. but, he's not good in selecting hostings.. neither do I

yeah! there are so many... even I've gone for one.. they said that they allow warez... but, eventually hosting got banned... :/

As much as I would like to say yes or good, the 1st thing I look in a host is their Address & Contact.

If they have none of the above, then I am sorry but however good you are, I don't really care anymore coz you could just Fly-By-Night. You are not even responsible enough to tell people your contact or address.

What's keeping you from telling anybody about your location or address? Afraid someone will come see you or something? What's so wrong about you having an address or contact there?

The shared hosting i'm on is located in France.

I'd recommend you to start of with NL shared hosting. I reccomend XSLtel and KnownSRV, both cheap and good.
