Looking for recommendations: Video Encoding + Storage Servers

Hi everyone,

I'm currently working on a video hosting/streaming platform and I'm looking for recommendations for server providers.

I need two separate servers:

1. Video Encoding Server

• Mainly used for video transcoding
• Preferably NVIDIA GPU / NVENC
• Good CPU performance
• Ideally 10Gbps networking
• Can be dedicated or GPU cloud

2. Storage Server

• Mainly used to store large amounts of video files
• High storage capacity is more important than CPU/GPU performance
• Preferably HDD/SSD with RAID
• Good network bandwidth and reasonable traffic/egress costs

I'm currently considering providers such as Hetzner, OVHcloud, Leaseweb, Vultr, RunPod, Vast.ai, etc.

I'd really appreciate recommendations based on price/performance, network bandwidth, storage capacity, reliability, and traffic costs.

If you're running a similar video hosting/streaming service, which providers would you recommend?

for the encode box id rent gpu by the hour on vast or runpod at first, encoding is bursty so paying for an idle gpu 24/7 rarely makes sense until volume is steady. for storage the real cost is egress not disk, a hetzner SX storage dedi with a cdn in front is the usual cheap combo iirc
