Title Says it all.. post your linux distro here.. or what windows you use :)

i personally use Windows 7 .. was on linux.. but i was gamer.. so switched back to Windows... Now Going Back to LINUX ! :)

It really Depends on what you wanna Do.
If you wanna do things like Watch Movies, Surf the Internet, IM, email, Facebook then it doesn't matter which one you use.

Sometimes you need to use things that only work on PCs.
Then you need to use PCs

For Web Dev I think Mac is the Best
 
yess.. but linux is more secure :) and don't forget.. you can install vmware on linux then install windows ;) if you want ! hehe or you can dual boot :)
 
I prefer Windows. I used some Linux distros before but they're really not for every-day use. At least not for me.. If I used some Linux distribution for few years I'd prefer it over some Windows OS. But in my case, I've used Windows OS's way longer than Linux distros.
 
I would say Linux is much much better,reliable,stable and secure than windows. Windows easily get infected if your antivirus is not updated regularly so windows is not capable of running on it's own. Windows needs antivirus to run good.

Graphics and Effects are Cheap if you compare with Linux.

I have used Fedora,Centos,Opensuse,Debian and now i am using Ubuntu and i am gonna stick with it. I find Ubuntu is a Complete Windows Killer.

The question sucks but anyway lets answer it .
First of all you cant say one is better and the other one is shit, each one completes the other one so i would say linux+windows!
Linux is perfect when it comes to servers, the security is known to be better. on the other hand there are many application which hasn't been released for linux and are on windows platform only.
Using them both is the best choice for example if i was a gfx designer i would go with mac first and then windows, as a programmer linux first windows second .

each one has its goods and bads.
 
Windows' sheer amount of software options is unrivaled. Linux is good if you want a stable production environment for web content.
 
I use Ubuntu on my laptop just for when I'm laying in bed surfing the net but on my desktop I use Windows 7 for the app's i.e Photoshop.
