I think this is the right section to post this.

Couple of days ago I've asked from MediaFire support, why they are blocking files that are shortened with linksbucks.

Here is a copy of the complete discussion.(I've removed my email address and ticket id for obvious reasons)

What do you think of that ?

Point is, they have TONS of ads on their download page. It's obvious, that advertisers don't want to pay them, when people are coming from other ad-infested pages, like linksbucks. Same rule applies why you can't wrap link with linkbucks, and then with adf.ly.

@cvrle77,
That's probably true. but, I wanted to show the their funny reply.

First, they are saying it violates their TOS and when I asked them where is it stated in the TOS section, they are saying 'We currently do not have it listed in our Terms of Service because it is not a Terms of Service issue' :facepalm:

Adfly have a no-referrer scheme, which makes it better than linkbucks on masking MF links. That's what I did in the past. Only disadvantage is that you shouldn't use adfly on adult stuffs.

I'd rather have my own link mask than using LB if I'm gonna use MF.

There were various ways to do those. But MF now have various account limits. I used to have encrypted and partitioned rar files for contents. But I would rather not use MF nowadays because of the nature of my uploads.

Oh yeah adfly does not do a no-referrer scheme, it's more like preserving/forwarding the referral link from the url where the adfly link was put.

I also had this issue but was able to work it out

I crated a redirect file on one of my websites (I decided use a PHP and point the linkbucks to that link) worked like a charm
