Good day, I have a VPS under you, I got Pingdom to check on my site every 15minutes and my server goes down every day. For the past 7 days, I just realized that I only have 17% uptime (6d 1h 49m 12s Downtime, a total of 95 downtimes.) Is this what I'm paying for? Hope you PM me regarding this matter.. Thanks!
 
Well atleast post screenshots from pingdom to support your allegations .
Been using knownsrv for months and barely any downtimes .

P.s : Downtimes can also be your fault i.e : VPS overload , turn machine off etc...





 
When I was still with Servedome, I get 3-6K pageviews every day, it's a wordpress site with w3 cache plugin, no problems, 99.9% uptime not until someone hacked their servers and didn't provide me any backups, I moved to knownsrv, my pageviews dropped to 1-2k/day. I don't think that traffic will overload a vps, I tried cloudflare's premium services too for CDN but still no luck, I made sure pingdom checks my site every 15minutes and my server is unreachable all the time.. here's my pingdom page..

And for the last 7 days, my site is on maintenance mode, and still it get's down.. I never turned the machine off or changed some deep settings.. It just gets offline..

Refer to the page above, 17% uptime for the past 7 days is unacceptable..

It could also be that it's a pingdom problem, i'm still waiting for a response of my ticket, so KnownSRV can confirm that I didn't had any downtimes, and if it did, maybe provide me a reason why.. Thanks in advance anyway..

Hmm the problem is on your end ...

1. Whether you are using a VPS or Shared , you are the only one reporting any such issue . If this was a network issue , everyone on that server/ip range would have reported something

2. Try pinging the ip instead of the site url

3. For VPS , check your control panel for load etc....





 
Uptime is 99,98% on the Node you are on, I just checked. If you need help with your HTTPD configuration you must open a support ticket only, without posting your issues here.

Your VPS never goes down(check uptime command), your Pingdom checks HTTPD status. Only if your HTTPD goes down it doesn't mean the whole VPS is down. When you get 100% packet loss on your IP(ping check at Pingdom) then it's something wrong on our end. Our Node itself has nothing to do with your HTTPD failures.
 
OK thanks for the tip, I'm using the IP now for ping checks and it seems to be working. Someone replied on the ticket already and support is great. Thanks and keep it up! :)

Thanks. I also added your IP to our internal Pingdom account - 100% uptime so far.

Sorry about it, we had a switch issue in the middle of the night(CET). No customers were affected, just our main site on a separate switch / rack.
