It's got potential?

Ok I should be honest. The typography is a big NO NO. You need to reduce the font size and use Web-safe fonts for the starters. The normal font size which are used on websites is 12px, 14px & 16px. Anything above that looks absurd unless it is planned accordingly to jell with the other theme elements.

From your image, I cannot make out how you are gonna end up finishing the design. Is it for a portfolio site ? is it for a music blog ? is it for an articles blogs ? Cannot make out :| Maybe you should complete more and update it. Only then we can make out whether it has got "potential" or not.

Also, define potential. The meaning for potential which you have in your mind must be different from what I'm thinking.

So finish the theme and then post for a review.

Good luck

um, that's a 5 elements image...3 of those 5 are not even counting, plain header image, 1 color background, and white separator... :|
There's not much to be seen

Thanks for all the useful information. The only thing I won't take into consideration is the font size. Just because a website suggests I shouldn't use large fonts doesn't mean I can't. People use big font sizes all the time and there outcome is beautiful. But I'll try to dim it down a bit.

Well people use it, I said that its no harm using big fonts, but it should go well with the theme structure. You should understand where to use big fonts and where not. Currently, in the navbar, in your design, you shouldn't be using big fonts. It looks awful.

Taking your advice! Really does look better hah, I'm so dumb

hmm looking good one thing the nav bar texture is not looking good you should try a different style

or you could go with it and see how it blends with the theme
