Hello,
I have VPS account with webthosting.com. I buy it before 3months ago. now I already have paid them for next 3months (50$ x 3 = 150$). now they have STOP VPS service in here. before they put my VPS offline I backup my all of data to webthosting temp backup server.

they told we can discuss about this after you complete backup to our temp dedicated server. as they told me I complete transfer my backup to new server. after they told me we do not provider VPS service anymore you have to buy VPS from other service provider. after that I try to put my VPS in webthosting. they told me we can give you dedicated server for 80$ + cPanel (it will be cost more than 100$).

so that price not statis for me I request refund for the VPS. then I buy good dedicated server from other service provider it cost all for 80$ (more than cheap webthosting servers). after the buy new dedicated server I try to login to my backup server for transfer all account to new server. password is invalid when I trying to login it. then I sent support ticket for request valid password.

so what happen to my backup DATA? you have changed password when I request my refund for place new order in other place.

We can try to recover your data at an admin fee of $60/hour.

if you assigned that server to a different person. why dont you tell me it before. is that my problem?

REPLY:
You asked for a refund. So in order to process your refund your server was taken down. I am sorry if you do not agree with the $60/hour fee you will be unable to get your files which are stored on our backup server. I said we reserve the right. As an exception we decided to refund you $100, so took down your server and provided to to another person.

The data was backed up from the previous server.

This is problem is not only for me. other all of VPS clients have same problem as me. I'm still waitng for get my backups. now I cannot login to webthosting client system my passowrd is invalid. I try to reset it but does not work. Is there any IDEA about the my problem?

both Webt and Sentrex are bullshit
they sell u crap overloaded servers
they suspend u every month right after u pay your bill
and then charge u another 5$ to put it back online
me and 3 friends tested it with or hosting they did
the same thing to all 3 of us

We never charged anyone $5 for suspending. So it is a lie. We do not suspend after paying bill.
 
Used their shared server for a little time before I got a dedi elsewhere. So much downtimes and when my site got bigger they told me I had to pay another 20$/month because my site used too much resources...
 
Yeah. I was scammed $150 by these guys. Paid for 8 months. Had 80% downtime and got really crappy service.
I complained so much that they actually decided I was violating their TOC and deleted my account.
Summary: paid $150 for 8 months 100Mbit VPS.
Got 2 weeks suffering and rubbish 20% uptime VPS - afterwhich VPS got deleted.

Webthosting are definitely class A scammers

Im not webthosting marketing director, and never tried them, and perhaps never do it. Im not a friend / partner or similar. But at least for 1 time, I would like to see someone posting proofs.

1) Welcome Email with account name /ip/ site he hosted on the vps.
2) Paypal transaction ( or however you write it ) email.

Never saw anyone posting proofs. Too much blablabla, but no real things.

Im starting to belive that theres someone that wants webthosting out of biz. Take a look at forums, the ones who make exclusive posts against webthosting, are members that have only post, and where registered 10 minutes before posting.
Im not saying that webthosting is the best company, or that they are reliable and perfect, but I think that 70% of the complaints are not so real.


Also, I cant understand why people buys 12 months or 6 months hosting or vps with a company they dont know, or a company they never tried before for at least 1 month.

Tell me Nick, would you purchase 12 months hosting and spend 100$ on a company that you never tried before for at least 1 month ? The answer is no.
Its rare to see that complaints against webthosting envolves large amounts of money. 70$, 100$, 150$... no one ever posts that webthosting scammed 5 bucks or 10 bucks. Its always about big money.

I see posts in wjunction about this. Digitalpoint, webhostingtalk, etc etc.

Once again, im not defending webthosting, But i think that most of the complaints are being done with other purpouse rather than advising others not to buy from them.

Its just my opinion !
 
i keep getting emails from them atleast 1 a day, which is starting to annoy me, basically they spam your inbox with "discount codes" and other useless crap, they seem to oversell as well. id stay away.

that's because they refund you with a few dollars.
when it gets that high webt does not want to refund and just run off with their money.

there have been so many complaints about webt, that i don't even think you can say not to believe it. it just happens to too many people =/

I was scammed $150 by this guy.
I tried it for a week and was relatively happy with the service.
I was told by Bentink that if I upgraded to a better package, I would get better speeds. Also, he lures you in with crazy discounts so you take a jump in a buy a few months in advance. As soon as I paid the additional $133 my speeds plummeted to near dialup speeds.
I don't need to provide proof since he has admitted everything himself in this link:

He really abuses his company's TOC and tries to get you to make an additional payment so he doesn't have to refund you under the "second invoice" clause, for which there is no mention unless you go over their TOC with a fine comb. The reason I say fine comb is because if you try looking at their refund policy you won't see it.

They purposely have 2 lines in it which contradict each other. Anyone looking for the refund policy will reach item #6 which states that there is a full 30-day guarantee and will be happy and buy.
However, if you continue reading the TOC, you'll reach item #9 which fully contradicts item #6 and adds alot of fineprint - like that #6 is only valid for the 1st invoice and the $15 deduction.

Their whole website boasts the money-back guarantee so it gives you a false sense of security.
In no stage of the ordering process is there any place where you click that you agree to the TOC

And another thing.

He promotes his VPSs as 100Mbit, but in reality he is giving CAPPED 10Mbit speeds. He has admitted this himself.

And Bentink being banned from this forum speaks good about Wjunction.
