Is This a DDoS Attack?

well webhost says its a ddos attack and i said ok. website was working well but yes inbound/outbound traffic was high
i have 2tb bandwidth : it was enough till may but in june it crossed 4tb traffic has increased around 40-50% hence it should be around 2.5tb-3tb but it was above 4tb [thankfully webhost provided extra bandwidth at no cost]
from 1st of july same phenomena is going on and my website consumed 200gb/day bandwidth [it should be around 100gb]

i asked webhost for logs and they said they have nothing no logs/no ip/no country of origin. yesterday site was on for 3 hours and i had about 500visitors online which is quite normal : their was nothing abnormal in CPU LOAD
site is suspended and reason given is :ddos. i have no ssh access to test it and they didn't did anything .

any solution or suggestion?

I assume you're on shared hosting.

Considering you're using over 4TB of bandwidth, and you say you have over 500 users online at once, you may just be using too much CPU on your host's server.

Personally I'd recommend upgrading your plan, or consider getting a VPS or Semi-Dedicated solution!

NO LOGS ???? Who are you hosting with??

To be honest, according to the amount of visitors online at once, and the amount of bandwidth that your going through, you might be better off with a decent VPS.

since you have 500 online at once i would suggest you go with VPS. who is ur provider 500 on a shared hosting that is alot

That is a lot but these hosts offer unlimited but when you use it they complain and use anything to suspend you and keep your money.

If it is a ddos then they should set up protection. Try using cloudfare for your website and see if that helps..

They are LYING if they say they do not have logs or ip of sites accessing their server.

i am on vps and issue was solved after 2 days when i was given new ip and moved behind cloudflare but because of it i lost goodrevenue and all ecpm went down and even flagged by advertiser. yes they didn't provided me any logs or ip . i even talked to them about blocking specific countries but no help was provided . they didn't even responded to me for 18hours . someone helped me by talking to them and then i got new ip[as promised by them]
