Is there a fast way to learn server management (VPS) ?

i want to move my forum to vps as fast as possible...
but i don't know anyhting about unmanaged VPS
is there a way (book or website , ...) that can let me learn the management of VPS for beginner?
i want to order from linode : (unmanaged vps)

Get ubuntu if you're new to linux. I'm using it atm..

you will be capable of managing vps afterwards

You need to know about webhosting,Forum setup, managing performance and disk space and management of webserver/Database and server itself.
