Hi,

My Brother owns a Travel Agency and He is having a hard time in booking a ticket in IRCTC during Takkal time.

As the website was accessed by most of the users and its very slow.

Is it advisable using some RDP Logins for booking Tickets in IRCTC ?

If yes..! can some one suggest me a reliable RDP website, coz its involves payment cancellation and so on.

Thanks in advance for your valuable reply.

Regards,
Karthi..!

if it is not accessible from your PC, it wont be accessible from RDP. During morning every damn needy tries to do tatkal booking so the site is slow. Its problem at their end not at the end of your ISP. & anyways I wont recommend you using RDP for tatkal booking

after 11:30am the site becomes a little stable.
around 10am it's useless.
and CJ is correct RDP won't help you, even I also tried to do that from RDP, result the same.

RDP will not help you in any way.
TATKAL tickets are booked from 10 AM onwards.... on this time traffic on IRCTC web goes to 200%.
Most of time there website shows 500 server error from 9.45 AM to 11 AM .........after then its goes to normal

Conclusion: problem[slow speed] is from IRCTC webserver not from your end. , so it will NOT resolved by RDP

Look for RDP only and only if it is in India. Which I don't think you would find any.

Best solution would be to have multiple 3G connections (for which you will need multiple devices).

But then also there is no guarantee you will succeed.

I think its more of luck and connectivity (Hops) from your provider to the website of IRCTC.

(As i am a normal user not frequently using IRCTC) So I may be wrong.

I agree with @MikeIn.

you can make 2-3 ID's and login from different browser with high speed broadband connection or 3G. Since, tatkal reservation starts from 10 AM. The traffic of the website is very high at that time. Currently, its serving 4 Lakhs transaction per day. I heard that soon it will be tuned to perform 7 Lakhs transaction per day. Also, multiple login with the same user id is not allowed.

Hence, with RDP login the problem is not going to solve.
