Is it important to have categories in WP blog?

I don't need them, but is it improtant for seo?

Well its better to have them organized. And for SEO well im not an expert on that but I guess they are good so google bot can follow for example the DVDRIP categories then index the files inside of it,etc and it will look better on googles page when some sees your site they will see it organized like this:

It is important for SEO. but also categories help you in organising the data on your web site. you can create good navigation when posts are categorized.

Yes, category are important for visitors, they will be able to nagivate easily and hence return to your blog if they like your contents.

For Google:
Yes they are important. They act like tags that are readily added to your blog.

For Visitors:
Don't do everything for google. If you really want to make your site a brand, you should do more for visitors, so that they visit you again and again and also ask friends to check out your site.
