Hello all,

I'm probably posting in vain but I'm looking to lease some IPs.

We are looking to rent and announce IPs in Hong Kong. We do not require APNIC allocated IPs (although this is preferred). If you have ARIN/RIPE or other allocations and have some spare, we are in the market to buy!

If you have APNIC allocated IPs, then we may be willing to buy your IPs outright from you. We are willing to pay a fair amount for your APNIC resources.

Leasing conditions should be considered for 'long term' (years) and paid for on a monthly basis. We can pay by bank transfer, paypal and credit card.

PM me or post to the thread for queries.

Hi Cheetah,

We have already got an assignment from APNIC. However, APNIC have run out of IPs and they are down to their last /8. They are now limiting further assignments to a maximum of a /22.

As a result of IP shortages in Asia, you will see providers limiting IP allocations themselves or charging a small fortune for IPs.

Nothing stopping us from routing ARIN/RIPE IPs though, so renting those is fine.

Better registrar a subsidiary company in ARIN region and get direct allocation. If your ARIN/RIPE partner decide to end contract suddenly, you will face much problems.

Perhaps you are right, but setting up a subsidiary in the US/EU simply to get an IP allocation may prove to be very costly and may not even be allowed.

We used to have a RIPE assignment which we routed back to HK. After they discovered we have no UK or EU operations, the IP allocations were revoked.

I assume a similar problem may exist with ARIN.

You are permitted to use your IPs outside of the assigned jurisdiction if you have an allocation and your primary operations (or at least a large portion) are within that jurisdiction.

Establishing a business in another jurisdiction for the purpose of obtaining IP resources may not be economical unless the newly established business is itself viable. But then there is the issue of taxes, and domicile... makes things all complicated.

Sadly the IPs are not available in the way we need them. The IPs need to be fully routable by our own router, not via a tunnel.
