Yeah, don't try this with your 256Mb VPS.

Minimum I would say to run comfortable is 1Gb of RAM.

Interesting... this one actually works! Although there are no applications installed with genome, but you can always get them from package manager.

KDE is a bit better as you already get everything u need, but then again, KDE uses a bit more RAM too!

no idea if you can install a remote destop if you install centos as a server... but if you do install centos desktop then it should work i think.

the only problem i had with linux centos was setting up my internet connection, but from there on i had no other problem at all.
