It's more of a last resort, poor guy completely lost his mind and life (half paralyzed and half deaf) after he stoned two dogs to death 15 years ago. It obviously is a pure coincidence that he got such destiny after the stoning of two dogs, but if you were in his shoes - you'd probably lose your mind too.
