Please describe your problem. The Problem i have is my forum index.php is loading slow..

It keeps loading and takes a lot of time to load...

But other pages takes only a few seconds to load like... The Forums or topics loads instantly..

Only the Index.php is loading very slow..

I tried removing the activity stats mod... Cleared all Template Header and Footer.. Also tried the default first prosilver theme.. It still is same..

I have Gzip Compression enabled to try and solve this problem..

Still there is no hope..

Index.php takes around 3x-4x the time other pages takes to load...

There was no problems until a few days ago... :(

i too faced the some problem long back & had to make a new start with my site, i think i had a problem in my db or something due to some crashes in tables. Another thing index loading can go slow if your template is missing some files or images, try checking your error log on ACP & Server Control Panel also, might be cPanel Kloxo or Direct Admin or watever u have.

yeah this can help too...
From phpmyadmin repair the tables....
And clear the logs also...
 
did you install 'last post titles on index' ? that slows the index page down & you can do the same with just template edits
 
My Host is currently down..

But i removed all mods and tried there was no change..

And i also uploaded a new index.php from premod that also did nothing..

Tried repairing the database.. no change... Checked using cpanel all tables give positive replies...

Tried the forum using default theme ProSilver still its same...

Also tried this mod from phpbb

Then its problem in .htaccess

You might have installed somthing to change the URLs and removed it but re-write rules are still there.

Paste the code of .htaccess here
 
Do you have any other images that are on other servers? It could have to do with content that has to be loaded from other places.

Do you mind posting the link here?

It was the mod "No duplicate" got help from the mod creator.. :)
