Increase traffic to blog?

Guys i created a blog using blogger,just like many ppl out there wanna earn some xtra bucks,linked my blog with google adsense
My only problem is traffic
Any suggestion on how to increase the traffic?

Get some backlinks that can push you traffic and do some SEO. Chances are you won't see rise in traffic in a day.

Or even months, you need a lot of patience from my experience. Some people just expect 1,000+ visits per day to their site in a week or so.
