oh sorry bro no idea...
I guess you must have got VPS control panel, from there re-build/re-install OS as you desire. I prefer Centos OS 5.5 (64bit).
Login to ssh via putty.
Install apache, php, etc etc etc.
It will be good if you tell us what you purchased your vps for, i will guide you out. :D
