Also, check the settings. I'm sure there would be some place where you can change this value.

ftp has a maximum connection limit which is not set by the application. You can change it via the application, but you cannot exceed the limit set by the server. Depending on whichever server you are uploading to, you would need to increase the ftp connection count on it. If you do not have access to the server directly, there is nothing you can do.
