I have a forum for a large unexposed niche, how do I bring traffic and gain page rank

I have just made a discussion forum for a large niche which hasn't been exposed yet. There is another forum for a similar niche which is very successful, but there are no other forums exposing this niche so does anyone have any ideas for gaining traffic to my site and increasing my google page rank?

Keep posting more information & create more content with the same tags to bump up. The more information for bots to crawl through the better.

You need to advertise more, try social media and forum postings. Also try creating some competition where you will see increase in members activity.
