html question ?

Is there simple way to show image when mouseover text..
Like :

<span onmouseout=this.src='' onmouseover=this.src=image.jpg>text</span>

it obviously won't work,but it was example for what i want.
How can i replace 'span' with 'img' and then use 'this.src'?

you can use javascript of vbscript or somthing similar, yes. HTML is a static language and cannot calculate mathematical forumlae or perform animation or anything else (im sure there is a word to describe its limitation, though i cannot think off-hand).
