Never come across this problem before now, and I need help solving it...

If I have a .png image inserted into my site and I want to place written text on the image, what do I need to insert in the HTML/CSS code?

If more detailed explanation is needed, I have colored a long line in Photoshop and made it a .png image. I have inserted that into my site, and I want to place the menu options ("Home", "Contact Us" etc.) on it, not under or beside, on it.

Thanks for any help! :D

1st - You can add a container(<div>) set its background to the image and you put your text inside the div.

forexample: <div style='background:url("images/back.png");'>Some Text</div>

Another solution is to use the z-index property in css.

;)

have a niice day!
