Is Twitter helpful for SEO purposes? Is high impression, more retweet on a Twitter post help to increase website ranking on Search engine?

As far as I know no social platforms help in website SEO directly but yes if you are success to make your website content viral and users find it useful then definitely the social signals helps in SEO. And yes use relevant #Hashtags with your every share.

Use targeted keywords on Twitter exactly as you do on your web pages and blog content. Google will acknowledge the keywords connected with your brand on Twitter, too. Make sure to use relevant hashtags and research a trending tag before you tweet something that contains it.
