how to unlock iphone 3gs on ios5.0.1

i have two iphone 3gs .how to unlock them.details of two phones are given below

1)iphone 3gs on ios5.0.1 with baseband(or Modem Firmware) 05.16.05 .3rd 4th 5th digits of serial no are 942 i think its of 42nd week of 2009.

2)iphone 3gs on ios5.1 with baseband(or Modem Firmware) 05.16.05 .3rd 4th 5th digits of serial no are 146 i think its of 46nd week of 2011.

Could please tell to which Network is your iPhone locked ??
Regrading JB its can be done, but it cannot Unlock your Phone, so better Unlock it Remotely from the Carrier its locked too.

Go to Settings - General - About, find "Modem Firmware" and reply with the number you read (for example, mine is 04.12.01)
