You need to upload all of your files to the new host, set up a new database, import the sql into the database, and then it will all be setup :)

Upload your backup to your site via the FTP(files) using the info hostbeyond should have given you then upload your SQL backup via phpmyadmin, change your name servers to the new name servers you recieved from hostbeyond and wait a while until your DNS updates which usually takes no more than 12 hours. i made one full backup from the cpanel. if i upload that backup will work? will i have to make a new database with the old name to accept the backup? please some step by step instructions?:D

First off, get all of your files which you downloaded from your old host, upload them to your root folder (public_html), you can do this either via FTP or your inbuilt file manager.

Create a new database in your new host, if you need to change any database info for your new host, change it once the files have been uploaded, once you have done that, import your sql file into the new database you have just created, then you should be up and running :)

EDIT: Forgot about DNS changes lol

i dont have this files. the old site expired.i only have the full backup made from the cpanel.can i make it with this?

Extract the full backup into ur PC

Now do u see the homedir.tar? extract it. and it will extract itself to a new folder called homedir.

now upload that folder (homedir) through ur FTP to the site public_html directory

now for the database part.... go to ur backup in ur PC and into the folder called mysql.

There should be a .sql file which is ur database. Import that through PHPMyAdmin.

If you really need help, Im sure one of the members here will be glad to help you import your Database, if you can get into your PHPMyadmin then your good to go :D

Go into Cpanel and select database wizard. Make a new database. Then go into PhpMyAdmin and import the database into the new one you made. If it times out then upload the database to your FTP and submit a ticket asking your host to dump it into the new database you made.

Good luck,

now i get this:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 300 seconds exceeded in /usr/local/cpanel/base/3rdparty/phpMyAdmin/libraries/import/sql.php on line 124

what is wrong again? <_<

yea its big.im uploading the backup into the public_html and contact hostbeyond to assist me. thanks for the help all of you

use mysqldumper

http://www.mysqldumper.de/en/

It doesn't matter the size with it, buckup using it in the old host then install it in the new one and restore after uploading it to the backup directory after creating empty sql database with sql user attached on it.

the backups of DirectAdmin never work with cPanel, so save yourself the troubles of changing control panels and use third party script to do the job.

that should work.
