How to protect site's template?

Few months ago, dlestarter.com created a template for me. I paid for it, and i have full rights to use it. Check: http://www.dlestarter.com/forum/showtopic/1233-help-me-please#message-6598
I used that template on my sites: warez-serbia, ushare.me,freedownload2u and rapidmoviez.
One hour ago, i saw my template on Mr.leg's site sharezone.org.

As you can see, he still use my logo.

Protecting your site from rippers is a cat and mouse game there are ways you can try to prevent it but at the end of the day everything is viewable from the viewsource anyway so to a determined ripper nothing can really stop it.

There is a couple of ways you can try to prevent it.

1. Make sure that file directory's are not browsable (e.g they cant just view the index of your files and download them that way).

2. Make sure that the template files are not viewable in the browser. If someone knows your file structure they can just go to /templates/overall_header.html and download it that way) You need to chmod the files so that the site can access the files but the browser cant directly (i cant remember off the top of my head what you have to chmod the files to but google it).

3. Minify all your template files. This is not a massive deterrent but it will piss people off trying to rip your site since everything is not in a human readable form it will make their life slightly harder but the browser will be able to read it fine and might even improve your pageload.

4. Send him a nice email saying please stahp what you are doing. (This probably won't work but its worth a try!)

From the screenshot you posted it does not really look like its a direct rip it looks more like a copy (the site is down so cant really judge that well)

Please check rapidmoviez.org and sharezone.org they use the same template.
the same was on ushare.me until today, as i bought new template for it
and he can't change the logo and other images, because he doesn't have PSD files.

There's no similarity of templates between rapidmoviez.org and sharezone.org

But ushare.me looks same as rapidmoviez!

And finaly try to protect your site's template is a good thing but it's a waste of time!
You can't stop the ripers!!
 
To Rip DLE its very very easy you can nothing do against this becouse there is a Way that makes it ever possible ;)

However the site you call is using very different Style and you Run a Warez Website Man you should know how the stuff works.

and this happens only if u use DLE ?

what about Wordpress ?



PS: guyz it's easy to Rip any DLE theme ?


one of my friends has a DLE site with a custom theme and i want to rip it :-=
