Pay Per Post it doesn't worth it, because they give 0.01 to 0.1$ per post. And it doesn't have to be Unique. Articles can be sold for 10 to 100$ each. Pay Per Posting can be copied form others websites. I am talking about Unique Articles.

checkout freelancer for these jobs .. i used to pay 3-5 $ for 1 article..

but , beware the its alot more indian (lolz) to write articles , instead of putting out your own blog lol.. i mean this is to think bigger and have more opportunities , especially when its unique.

Maybe look into promoting affiliate offers? Article submission directories are still popular but I think the best way to go about making money with your writing skills is by making a blog and focusing on a particular niche. Write at least 15 or so articles (blog posts) and start doing some SEO, you need to be getting traffic from Google as soon as you can.

Avoid the saturated niches too, things like hosting and weight loss are way too competitive. You'll make more with a blog + adsense + affiliate banners / links than you would by writing articles for people, the income is passive too so you can rinse and repeat after you get some initial success with your blog.

2> contact them via email
3> if they need a freelancer writer then they will contact you
4> Goto facebook .Search for article writing communities and tell them you wish to work as a freelance content writer
5> Post some good articles in ehow or e zine and make a good portfolio and promote it
