How to create Animated gif images

hey guys i need to creat animated gif banner images like Katz button or Phazeddl button.

Which software will help me.

I have Dreamweaver and Adobe Flash cs3 both. But there is no such option in any of these.

Please suggest me a good software for the purpose.

the most basic is photoshop cs4.......

Open Photoshop
Goto View > Animation
Then you'll see the animation window. Learn some tutorials on how to create an animation.

yeah, use photoshop and 'save for web and devices' when saving the gif

you could also make the button in flash and import it into photoshop as frames using file>import.
