How to create a Submitter Firefox addon?

Hi,

Are there easy way to create a Submitter Firefox addon (as almost ddls website have)?. Can i download their tools then edit source code? I just need a simple addon.

Most of the firefox addons can be modified unless they are encrypted.

• Download the .xpi addon file and then rename it to .zip
• Open zip file and extract all files from there to some folder
• Generally, the content of what addon does are in the folder chrome/content
• You can look at the source and modify it
• After modifying, zip all the files again (You must use .zip format)
• Then change the extension of .zip file to .xpi
• You can use the addon then

* Addons are coded in Javascript. In The archive, install.rdf contains values like plugin name, version it should work to ...

I downloaded an addon yesterday, and tried to edit it but seem like its encrypted

Can you give me an editable addon?

The .JAR needs to be opened with winrar or winzip and extracted also to be modified.
