How to check bandwith usage on server?

How can we check bandwith usage on dedicated server?Im using apache without cpanel.

Are you looking for graphing or real-time?

For graphing I would use MRTG or Munin. For real time I would use iftop.

apt-get install vnstat
vnstat -u -i eth0 #this sets it up for you
vnstat -l #shows live usage
vnstat -d #shows daily usage
man vnstat #for more info

Do a "yum search vnstat" to find the name of the package. Then do a "yum install vnstat"
