I have this site on a shared hosting, and figured out that the reason I overuse the memory is because my site contents are being copied, as well as the images hosted in it by some other large chinese forum sites. I have the site in WP, and can't even load it. Any suggestions on how do I disable my image files being hotlinked? I think I'll have just to rename the media folder temporarily to gain access to the site, then replace the images one by one by an image hosting service but I'd rather have my images in my site then disable it being loaded from other sites except mine.

I would've done that too earlier, but I can't even access my site's WP admin panel due to memory load. I've been thinking if there are other methods to do so, like in cpanel or temporary methods to kick out those hotlinks.

Thanks for the tips. I really found it too unusal after seeing 50k hits and more than 1GB bandwidth in just 24 hours, when I just have 1 image per page and with sizes of 20-50KB each. It seems that my images have been hotlinked in several sites, and one of them is the Chinese one with somewhat big community.

I already did that too. That really won't solve the problem when your actual image files in your site are being hotlinked.

BTW, the problem was long solved.
