Gay works for females, and males, all of it is just terminology.

Lesbians (gay women) are more accepted because it's more sexually appealing to men, and even something they'd want to be part of (ie: multiple partners, one male, and several females).

Ultimately though, who cares, as long as it's not harming anyone then it doesn't matter. There are weirder things than just being gay, specially in fetishism field.

I think to be honest just let them do thing's how they want to.

There is nothing wrong with being attracted to the same sex.
