4x 2.66+ GHz = 1processor with 4core
4x 2(HT) x 2.66+ GHz = 1 processor with 4 core and 8 thread
search into Intel site you will find more detail .

here are my specs
AMD FX-8150 Black Edition 8-Core Processor 3.6ghz and overclocked @ 3.9ghz
i have 3x2GB ddr 3 ram sticks
Im not too sure of the motherboard, but it should be a GIGABYTE one which retailed around June 2011.
I have a SSD which runs the OS.
Then i have a very very old graphics card from my old pc. nvidea 9400 GT.(the reason is i dont play games,so i did not want to spend extra on graphic card)

I have 4 fans. the processor heats up pretty fast.

Alot of people mistake this as 4 x 2.66ghz = 10.64ghz which is not the case it is just either 2.66ghz split into 4 cores or 4 threads depending on the amount of cores included since a dual core can have 2 threads per core making a quad.

All it really means is it splits the cpu load evenly into multiple core to make the full ghz.

Lol, so true. I've seen some hosts doing 8+ Ghz CPU allowance
