It can be helpful when, for certain reason, pre-moderation is disabled on your forum or you have just missed to screen out some post with a spam link in it. This mod protects your site and your visitors from potentially dangerous links and risks related. In fact this mod replaces suspicious user-generated links with secure links to interstitial pages on Sur.ly, so your site cannot be considered (by Google, AdSense, etc.) as related to some maleficent resources the spammers might try to promote (adult, illegal, etc).
