How do i get dual colums with IPB 3.0

I'm currently trying to get dual columns working on darcnetworkz.com.

I paid the maker of the theme to make me a mod but the actual mod is written in html (LIKE WTF?) so it's whack. I already claimed back my money on paypal.

Is anyone interested in explaining to me how it works or able to fix the current mod?

The guys over at code projects already did it (good job on that!) but it seems they do not want to share how they did it? I find that kind of weird because i thought we were all one big community trying to help each other out :P?

Nope this is definently not SHiFT.

I encourage any wjunction staff member to check my ip. I'm from europe so I can't be SHiFT :P
 
Nope since IPB 3 uses Hooks, plugins and applications instead of direct source mods. Editing the source code of IPB 3 will probably break mods since hooks etc overload default classes. If these classes get edited any hooks/mods that use them will likely stop working and on every update the changes would be undone anyway. Furthermore the DC mod explained in the tutorial is not exactly a good one. It will break all skins so the every skin you install will need to be "fixed" to work with it.

Ok great, now i know that.

Now how about telling me how to do it since you seem to be the only one that has succesfully done it.

Wouldn't it be nice for us all to be teamplayers for once?

Also we propably speak the same language since i'm from the netherlands so if you want to talk about it on skype just pm me :)
 
If it was a public mod I'd give it to you, but it's not. And tbh the main reason why I brought it back to IPB 3 was because no other IPB 3 site had it. It's not that I don't want to share but the reason I mentioned above - it being exclusive still.

On a side note, I know this is for SHiFT's site. He's not really a person I'm gonna help. The DC was made in ~30 minutes at C-P, you guy's been working on it for like 4 day now :s. Think simple, it's not a difficult thing to make.
 
Well it might be something that is for his (partly) site but it's basicly my project now and i want it to be done.

well, you can reach it yourself, try to understand the part control the colums as indicated in IPB 2.3 and aply the edits on 3.

Don't expect who reached it after long time searching and working hard to figure it out to share it, it is similar to ask someone to give his expensive custom skin for free.
